THE LEADER PROJECT is a place for leaders to grow, wrestle and experiment. It's a safe place to be in process.
THE LEADER PROJECT blog isn’t meant to simply inform, but to offer concepts to ponder as God forms us as leaders and servants.
And transformation does not happen in a vacuum. We need community. This site seeks to be a place to Connect, Converse and Collaborate.
Connect:
Leadership can be lonely. We need some fellow leaders to journey alongside. Leaders are people too! We need meaningful connection, and connection leads to conversations and collaboration.
Converse:
My heart is all captured up in the beauty of God’s way… I’ve been working through much of the teaching and models in the New Testament, looking for counter-intuitive and counter-cultural ideas about how Christians are supposed to live and lead. It’s been a great time of rethinking what leadership really is in the Kingdom of God and how to cultivate a culture of God's Kingdom in our communities.
Questions I'm considering:
How do we use the leadership gift as one of God's many spiritual gifts?
How do we employ leadership gifts in service to the community?
How do we call out and develop the gifts of others?
How do we make sure all perspectives are heard?
How do we create a culture of honor?
How do we collaborate?
I need your insights and challenges to grow.
I hope you'll click on over to the blog and join the conversation.
Collaborate:
Leadership in the Kingdom of God is not a solo sport. It is something we do together. The picture the Apostle Paul gave us of the Christian community is a body, with each member being valuable and vital to the rest of the body. We each have a role, and we each need the other members. When we reach our personal limits, it is not a failure - it's time to invite someone with different gifts and perspectives to team up. As we discuss and discover together, I hope we will find ways to collaborate to serve our communities.
